Our Mission
At California Oaks Chiropractic, our mission is to help patients better understand their bodies and receive care that is matched to their specific condition, goals, and stage of recovery.
We serve patients in Murrieta and surrounding California communities, including those dealing with acute injuries, chronic conditions, sports-related concerns, and long-term wellness needs.
Our approach begins with a careful diagnosis. Dr. Phillip believes successful care starts with understanding the true cause of a patient’s symptoms before creating a treatment plan. Each new-patient visit includes time for history, evaluation, and education so patients know what is happening in their body and why a specific plan is recommended.
Education remains part of the care process from start to finish. By the end of a corrective treatment plan, patients should have a clearer understanding of their body, how to support recovery, and what steps may help them maintain better function over time.
Our Story
Dr. Brian Glaudini and Dr. Keith Kruthaup met in chiropractic school. They were good friends through their entire training, and after graduation, they opened California Oaks Chiropractic together in Murrieta in 1990.
Over the next three and a half decades, they grew the practice and cared for the Murrieta community. Each of them practiced with a distinct clinical approach.
Dr. Keith worked with diversified chiropractic techniques. This is manual adjusting, and he was able to adapt it across a wide range of body types and conditions.
Dr. Brian worked with Koren Specific Technique, known as KST. KST uses the body’s own electrical signals to identify what needs to be addressed, and is delivered with an instrument called the Arthrostim. It is a less invasive, more specific approach than manual adjusting.
When Dr. Brian and Dr. Keith were ready to step back from full-time practice, the priority was finding a successor who could continue both styles of care so their long-time patients would not have to switch. Dr. Phillip Vournazos was that successor. He is trained in both diversified technique and KST with the Arthrostim and has been practicing both for over a decade. After running his own practice early in his career and managing integrated offices, he took over the position for both Dr. Brian and Dr. Keith. He is carrying forward their legacy and their standard of care for the people of Murrieta.
Our Treatment Philosophy
Two adjusting styles under one roof: Most clinics offer one adjusting style. California Oaks offers two. Dr. Phillip uses diversified manual adjusting for patients who respond well to hands-on care, and he uses KST with the Arthrostim instrument for patients who need or prefer a less invasive, more specific approach. The choice is matched to the patient.
Individualized Care: Treatment plans are built off a complete and accurate diagnosis. Dr. Phillip works through the patient’s history, examination, and any imaging needed before deciding what the right plan looks like. The plan is then walked through with the patient at a follow-up review of findings visit, alongside imaging, treatment options, and how it works with their insurance.
Gentle, Medication-Free Care: Both adjusting styles used at California Oaks are non-surgical and non-medicated. The Arthrostim instrument used in KST is described by Dr. Phillip as less invasive and more specific than manual adjusting, which makes it suitable for patients who want a gentler approach.
Our Core Values
Patient education comes first: By the time a patient finishes a corrective treatment plan, they understand their body. They know what to do when something happens, when to ice, when to use heat, when to stretch, what to stretch, how to stretch, and how to avoid poor ergonomics. Education is built into the treatment, not added at the end.
Whole-person health: Care is aimed at helping patients reach the best version of themselves, from the musculoskeletal standpoint to the mind and the total body.
Accurate diagnosis before treatment: Many failed outcomes in chiropractic care come from a rushed diagnosis. Dr. Phillip takes the time required at the first visit to find the actual root cause before building a plan.
Paying it forward: Dr. Phillip has personally been through nearly every injury and condition he treats day to day. Some he had help working through. Others he had to figure out himself. Helping the next person get to the other side of those same problems is, in his words, the biggest reward.
